Holiday Matsuri over!

Trying to update anything after a con is always quite difficult, so here's a little blurb for now!  

Holiday Matsuri has come and gone and we had a great time at it!  Thanks to everyone that stopped by and chatted with us over the weekend as well as those who purchased something while doing so!  The weekend was very exciting as we saw old friend and made a bunch of new ones!  Hope to see everyone in the not so distant future~

Christmas and the New Year are almost upon us so the updates may be a little scattered (or not there at all!) until after the new year!  So if we don't post anything till then we hope everyone has a great holiday season and a happy New Year!

We really love photos of our happy customers here at The Tofustache and I just got in some new ones today!  Katlin ordered a Pinkie Pie Tofu hanger the other day and left some kind words and cute pictures for us!

Upgraded MLP plushies!

I'm a huge fan of doll eyes on plushies but after posting a some of my MLP:FiM plushies a couple people suggested I try to make some more show accurate eyes for them, so I did!  I only have pictures of Rainbow Dash and Rarity right now but I'll probably make some more in the coming weeks (between the holidays and getting ready for Holiday Matsuri I'm a bit swamped)!

Much like the Tofus the eyes are constructed out of layers of felt.  Had a lot of fun trying to figure out how to make them and I totally love how they turned out!   It was actually pretty funny when I was trying to make them as I started making the eyes like Rainbow Dash has first but I was testing them on Rarity.  They didn't look quite right until I popped them on Dashy!   I realized at that point they were looking weird cause Rarity needed those sultry eyes!

If anyone is interested in buying them I got em up on ebay at the moment!  I may sell them at a set price later down the road on etsy but for now I'm doing one complete round of each pony on ebay with matching Tofus to try and fund a new sewing machine and camera!  Feel free to check em out!

Tofus as tree ornaments

Someone mentioned something I never thought of on my tumblr the other day... the Tofu hangers are perfect as Christmas ornaments!  So I snapped a picture of the MLP Tofus on my cute Christmas tree, and I'd have to say they do look pretty good as ornaments!

There's nothing better than photos of happy customers with your merchandise (it's also an excuse for me to take photos of merchandise I forgot to photograph before a show ^_~)!  So here's two photos I took over the weekend at EXPcon of some happy customers!

Sketched Up Some New Product Ideas!

Had some downtime at school the other day so I sketched and colored up some new product ideas~ I want to try to make some stuff Winter themed since the cold weather is coming in, and some other pony ideas (plushes, aprons, headbands and vests). Hopefully I can find time to make everything that I want to! @_@

Got an order for a My Little Pony Shadowbolts hoodie. Sketched up a quick concept and hastily colored it in Photoshop. I'm pretty excited about making this, I really like the design I came up with!

An Unexpected Surprise!

EXPcon

We're back from EXPcon and what a fun (and tiring) weekend it was!  It was great to see everyone there and thank you so much if you bought something!  There was however some bad things that happened at the convention.  Someone ended up taking our luggage we use to carry booth supplies in Saturday night.  It really sucks but luckily we should be able to recover from it!

There might be a few more updates from EXPcon coming up soon from us, but for now this is just the we're still recovering from con-plague and should post something update!

As for the next convention, do come and see us at Holiday Matsuri, December 16-18 in Orlando, Florida!  

My Little Pony Hoodies Preview

I took a picture of my newest creation, My Little Pony hoodie! I made one for me, and three for friends for AWA. I will be making these by custom order only, so customers can choose exactly which size and which pony they’d like and I won’t have to worry about making a wide variety of sizes and styles. :D

Camera broke!

I was going to take some photos of the new pony plushies I made but apparently my camera is broken!  First the sewing machine now my camera (don't even want to think about my wipers dying in the rainstorm last week)! What will be next!?

Guess I will go back to preparing more Tofus for EXPcon!

Decided I wanted to try to make some My Little Pony plushies and this is what  happened!

She's not quite the final final draft, but she was looking so cute I decided to finish her up!  Hopefully I'll be able to get some done of all the ponies before Expcon (excpet maybe Rarity, I'm still thinking super hard about how to do her hair with yarn)!  

Also on the Tofutastic front, I've just finished up some Doctor Who themed earrings that will be sold at the next con and etsy as soon as I get it set all up.

I love these so much (I wear them around a lot!) cause they're super light!  I'll def be making more of these in the future!
